Part-Time General English     10 lessons / week

Study for two lessons/day in one of the following:

  • Communication Skills, Reading & Writing
  • Grammar, Listening & Speaking, Vocabulary Building

All classes place a special focus on speaking & listening.

Regular hours 08:45 - 10:25 or 10:35 - 12:15 (Monday - Friday)
Summer hours 08:15 - 9:55 or 10:00 - 11:40 (Monday - Friday)
or 14:30 - 16:10 or 16:15 - 17:55 (Monday - Friday)

Focus On Conversation     10 lessons / week
10 lessons per week of Chat Club, Conversation Skills, and Pronunciation classes. Learn the essential skills required to successfully participate in everyday conversation in various situations. This program is designed for students who wish to maximize their practice with oral communication and improve their overall speaking confidence.

Focus On Business Communication     10 lessons / week
Suitable for both students and business executives, this program will help you develop the skills necessary to communicate in the international world of business. Topics include: participating in business meetings, presentations, interviews, telephone calls, and writing business letters. Real-world business case studies and role-playing activities are a central component. Practical work experience can be gained by participating in our Work Internship program.

Focus On TOEFL     10 lessons / week
The TOEFL is an internationally recognized test of English language proficiency. For non-native English speakers it is required for entrance to most North American universities and colleges. Our TOEFL Prep course is designed to prepare you to succeed at the new TOEFL internet-based test (TOEFL iBT). This new test requires students to be able to use the four skills in an integrated way. Our course will give you lots of practice with expressing ideas and opinions in both writtten and spoken form. We will make regular use of the computer for homework assignments and practice tests. Since ACCESS is also an official TOEFL iBT Testing Centre, you can take the test right at our school. Not just for students planning to take the TOEFL test, this course will help any learner of English to use and understand English at an advanced level.

Focus On English For Medicine     10 lessons / week

Designed specifically for doctors, nurses, or anyone already working or studying in the field of medicine and health care, our course will help you to successfully communicate in a clinical environmnet. Learn essential vocabulary and terminology. Practice with reading and writing letters, charts and reports. Learn to speak with both patients and other medical professionals with confidence and clarity. Upon successful completion of this program, students withing to gain Canadian work experience may complete a Medical Internship at a Toronto hospital.

Focus On English For Tourism & Hospitality     10 lessons / week

Learn the essential English language skills required to successfully work in the field of international tourism and hospitality. Our course is designed to teach you relevant vocabulary, as well as effective communication skills with both clients and colleagues. We will focus on speaking and using English in real-life situations such as: taking reservations, booking flights and hotels, dealing with customer complaints, guiding tours, and explaining ever-changing airline security measures to clients. Upon successful completion of this program, students wishing to gain Canadian work experience may complete a Work Internship placement in the area of Tourism & Hospitality.
