Students in all 30 lesson/week programs will have 20 lessons/week of General English in the mornings as well as choose an afternoon Focus class for an additional 10 lessons/week.

The general English classes concentrate on the following language areas: speaking, listening, reading, grammar, writing, vocabulary building, idioms and slang. All classes place special focus on speaking & listening.

Students in the Intensive Focus Program choose one of the following focus classes based on their English level:

Conversation
Business Communication
TOEFL Preparation
English For Medicine
English For Tourism & Hospitality

Intensive Focus Programs are the perfect combination for boosting general English skills, while allowing students the opportunity to focus on a particular area of interest.

 

Intensive Conversation     30 lessons / week
Study in our Full-Time program and add 10 extra lessons per week of Chat Club, Conversation Skills, and Pronunciation classes. Learn the essential skills required to successfully participate in everyday conversation in various situations. This program is designed for students who wish to maximize their practice with oral communication and improve their overall speaking confidence.

Intensive Business English     30 lessons / week
Suitable for both students and business executives, this program will help you develop the skills necessary to communicate in the international world of business. Topics include participating in business meetings, presentations, interviews, telephone calls, and writing business letters. Real-world business case studies and role-playing activities are a central component. Practical work experience can be gained by participating in our Work Internship program.

Intensive TOEFL Preparation     30 lessons / week
The TOEFL is an internationally recognized test of English language proficiency. For non-native English speakers it is required for entrance to most North American universities and colleges. This program covers all four parts of the test: structure, listening, reading and writing. You will also learn strategies for speed and tips on how to find the correct answers. Designed with the CBT testing format in mind, your course will include regular use of the computer for homework assignments and practice tests.

Intensive English For Medicine     30 lessons / week
Designed specifically for doctors, nurses, or anyone already working or studying in the field of medicine and health care, our course will help you to successfully communicate in a clinical environmnet. Learn essential vocabulary and terminology. Practice with reading and writing letters, charts and reports. Learn to speak with both patients and other medical professionals with confidence and clarity. Upon successful completion of this program, students withing to gain Canadian work experience may complete a Medical Internship at a Toronto hospital.

Intensive English For Tourism & Hospitality     30 lessons / week
Learn the essential English language skills required to successfully work in the field of international tourism and hospitality. Our course is designed to teach you relevant vocabulary, as well as effective communication skills with both clients and colleagues. We will focus on speaking and using English in real-life situations such as: taking reservations, booking flights and hotels, dealing with customer complaints, guiding tours, and explaining ever-changing airline security measures to clients. Upon successful completion of this program, students wishing to gain Canadian work experience may complete a Work Internship placement in the area of Tourism & Hospitality.
