New Student Orientation Sessions
All new Access English Toronto students will have special Orientation sessions during their first week. These sessions are mandatory. You will learn about Access English Toronto rules, tips on how to succeed at our school, living in Toronto, and more!
Attending the Orientation sessions will help orient you to both Toronto and our school.
Bright, Spacious Classrooms
Access English Toronto offers bright, spacious classrooms that are comfortable. Classrooms are designed in such a way to facilitate interaction between students and their teacher. Students sit around a large round / oval table to encourage maximum speaking.
Student Lounges
Access English Toronto has two student lounge areas where students can eat lunch, or just relax and talk to friends. The student kitchen area is equipped with microwave ovens, a water cooler, and a refrigerator for student use.
Fast and Free WiFi
Our WiFi connection is lightening fast to ensure that you never have to wait when you are using the internet! Bring your own laptop, tablet or phone, and connect instantly and quickly anywhere in the school.

Location
Located in the heart of downtown Toronto in the trendy “Yorkville” district, Access English Toronto is perfectly situated. Our school is less than 1 minute walk from the central Yonge/Bloor subway station, two minutes from the University of Toronto and the Toronto Reference Library, and five minutes from the Royal Ontario Museum.
Access English Toronto is surrounded by many shops, including upscale boutiques and an underground shopping mall, as well as restaurants, pubs, bars, movie theatres and office buildings. Come and see why our location is number 1!
Subway, Streetcars and Buses (TTC) in Toronto
- Individual rides cost $3.35 cash. You can use cash, credit or debit card on any bus or streetcar.
- Presto cards are frequently used for the TTC and other forms of Toronto and GTA public transit. These can be purchased for a small fee at any Shoppers Drug Mart location (youths, students, post-secondary or adults) or at Fare Vending Machines (adults only) located in most subway stations. To use a Presto card, you must first load it with money and then tap whenever you want to ride (including after most transfers).
Got to https://www.ttc.ca/Fares-and-passes to see a listing of current fares. - You can save money by buying a monthly METRO PASS, which gives you unlimited rides on TTC buses, streetcars and subways. This pass is loaded onto your Presto card. Got to https://www.ttc.ca/Fares-and-passes to see the current cost of a metropass.
- Metro passes for the following month can be purchased anytime after the 25th of each month until the 3rd business day of the following month: If I want to buy a METROPASS for the month of April, I must buy it between March 25th and April 3rd. This is not a four-week pass. It is ONLY a pass for April.
- Transportation information in your own language is available. Please call 416-393-4636 (then press 7 for multi-lingual services). The general information number is 416-393-3030. Call either of these numbers if you need to know how to get somewhere by TTC, or visit ttc.ca.
- Subway hours are: Monday to Saturday, 6:00 am - 1:30 am, and Sunday 8:00 am - 1:30 am. Most streetcars operate 24 hours/day and there are all-night buses on major routes after the subways close.
